As semester two has come around, so have new goals. The goals of the first semester were kind of forgotten by the end. So to make sure that does not happen, I will be focusing on this semester’s goals even more than the last semester’s. If you are new to my page and don't know what a smart goal is, it is a goal that you set that is achievable and relevant to your everyday life or a certain class. This semester I will have two different goals. One for my art class and one for english class.
My smart goal for art class is to get better at digital art. This form of non-traditional art has gotten the better of me quite a few times over the course of the years. There will be a few different assignments that I as an artist will need these skills for. Because I will need higher digital art skills in the future, it only makes sense that this would be my smart goal. By the end of the semester I want to be able to make great pieces of art, while making my own style come through on the digital piece. To me the thought of being able to make a digital art piece look as good or better than my painting or drawing skills, would be amazing. I can achieve this goal by practicing a few times a week and going out of my comfort zone, experimenting with different brushes and layers. The second smart goal that I will be doing over the course of the next semester, will be for English. For the longest time, I have not been able to spell that well. Therefore my goal is to become better at spelling before the end of the year. This stepping stone will affect my future life goals and activities in the long end. To achieve this goal, I will be practicing every day, trying to use spell check less and less. For me this goal is important because spelling is something that I will need in the future and because I won’t always have someone looking over my work for me before I post it.
